Japan-Latvia Business Seminar

Japan and Latvia:
Building Connections and Synergies During and After the Brexit

May 18 – 19, 2017 (Riga, Latvia)

Japan is an important investor and trading partner of the EU, including Latvia and the UK. Just like Japan, Latvia advocates for a strong continuing political and economic relationship between the EU and UK after the Brexit. The Government of Japan has requested the UK and the EU to safeguard interests of Japanese companies throughout and after the Brexit. As the uncertainty of the outcome of UK-EU negotiations continues, companies based in UK prepare for various eventualities. With that in mind, Latvian government and the private sector is interested to explore the possibilities for building mutually beneficial synergies with Japan and its UK based companies. Latvia has a lot to offer. Here are just a few points:

  • Business-friendly environment
  • World-class IT infrastructure
  • Major Northern Europe's logistics hub
  • Highly qualified and cost-efficient workforce with excellent language skills

We cordially invite you to participate in the seminar “Building Connections and Synergies During and After the Brexit” where a number of government officials and entrepreneurs will talk about the business and investment opportunities in Latvia. You will also have an opportunity to visit foreign companies, manufacturers and service providers operating in Latvia.

Thank you for your interest! We regret to inform you that due to the insufficient number of participants the seminar has been cancelled.
