50 events, experts from 17 countries, 7 stages – innovation and technology festival iNOVUSS announces its three-day programme

One month before the event, one of the biggest open-air European innovation and technology festival iNOVUSS announces its programme. The festival will host more than fifty events on seven stages, where the leaders, business executives and innovation experts from seventeen countries will share in the latest technologies, innovations and entrepreneurship for three days. iNOVUSS will be held in Lucavsala Island, Riga, from 30 August to 1 September. Admission is free of charge.

The festival programme will take place on seven stages, and its various events – discussions, lectures, presentation sessions, networking events – promise to be without frames and boring conversations. World-class experts from the Baltic countries, USA, Australia, South Africa, UK, Sweden, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Luxembourg, Germany, Finland, Romania, Poland, Bulgaria will take care of this.

In the iNOVUSS workshops, wantrepreneurs and entrepreneurs and professionals from various backgrounds will be able to acquire the skills essential for a modern business executive, which are rarely covered in textbooks. An internationally renowned memory grandmaster will reveal how to optimize the mind, while the #instaworkshop of the world traveller will teach how to create stories for social networks. Experts will show you how to build your personal brand, how to pitch like a rockstar, and how to become a future leader. In workshops, we will also talk about your value proposition to modern customers, about innovations that allow you to make better decisions, and even about breathing that helps you lead a more peaceful life.

The main stage – Magnetic Latvia – will bring together the most powerful international keynote speakers, who will be there to tell their stories about changing reality: technological advancement, AI and blockchain and whether artificial intelligence is going to make us more human? What opportunities and challenges will education and employment bring in future? How to turn waste into wealth? What are the possibilities provided by personal data and genetics in a person’s life?

The Money District will invite you to meet a potential investor for your idea and expand your circle of professional contacts. You will be able to obtain advice there on dos and don’ts in order to run a business with profit, and how to teach children to deal with money and awake their interest in business from an early age. There will also be an opportunity to learn from the mistakes of experienced startup executives, listen to exciting business stories, meet venture capitalists, representatives of accelerators and take part in a panel discussion on the fintech revolution. Here, the Latvian Business Angels Network will open its door to a wider audience by holding the LatBan’s only open investment session this year.

The 23XX platform has been designed, thinking about the woman’s ability to create in business, technology and science. Riga TechGirls will be hosting a speed dating there, in which the IT companies and those interested in working in this industry will participate in. There will be discussions about staff shortages in the age of robotization, and listeners will also be inspired by the stories of women in collaboration with the Daughters of Miracles project. SHE LOVES TECH (business and innovation ecosystem creating new opportunities for women) competition qualification round will also be held in this tent for the first time in Latvia.

You will be able to talk about how to create collaboration between science in an informal atmosphere in the Smart Cafe tent. As well as about commerce and about research as an innovative component of the business. It will also host the national finals of the world’s largest green business ideas competition ClimateLaunchpad. From quantum physics to supercomputing conversation will discuss computing as we will know it tomorrow, while Smart Riga panel discussion will review the capital’s sustainable development strategies in the context of smart solutions.

Business Incubators will talk about topics important to young entrepreneurs and will offer an insight into the life of entrepreneur of the 22nd century. You will be able to learn the hardening and breathing techniques for a more peaceful life in an alarming business environment, what is a personal brand and how creating it helps you become a better professional, as well as everyone will be able to discover their personality archetype. Sales professionals will find a new product sales pitch after a practical workshop by Regis Lemmens, the author of From Selling to Co-Creating book. Meanwhile, news of applications and smart devices will be presented by the quantified life enthusiasts, who look at their daily lives through numbers and want to make the most objective decisions possible. There will also be announced a new topic, DNA sequencing, which opens up great opportunities for creating unprecedented products tailored to each person’s genome. At the end of the festival, we will forecast how the rapid development of technology will change our lives, security, freedom, equality, and what its downside is.

Stories on how to enter the European Union markets and what opportunities and challenges to expect in markets outside of it will be told at the Business Terrace. Focus will be on the Baltic countries, Scandinavia and the United Arab Emirates. There will also be a conversation about Latvian game developers in the global market. Here you will be able to find out about the support provided by the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA) for starting a business, promoting innovations and technology, as well as to apply for membership in any of 15 LIAA business incubators throughout Latvia.

Discussions, presentation cycles, master classes, even tournaments, and other activities on the subject – what is traveling and traveller in the 21st century?, will take place in the Futourists tent. Discussions will be organized on changing paradigms of modern tourism and new tourism offers, such as the future of tourism in the space age.
