Skrunda, a city in Latvia, used as one of the set locations for filming the blockbuster movie Justice League

In one of its epic battles, the superheros of the blockbuster movie Justice League can be seen fighting against the backdrop of Skrunda, a city in Latvia. The Hollywood production team of the movie chose the city for its unique setting of block apartments and a tower for a scene during a fierce battle. The idea to film in Skrunda came from the Latvian company Baltic Pine Films when colleagues from abroad came to the company for an advice. A significant part of the movie’s story takes place at this location. This is the first time that filming of such a scale takes place in Latvia, according to the representative of Baltic Pine Films. Bits from the scene in the movie is also included in the trailer promoting the movie across the world.

In the film, Batman decides to combine the forces among the superheroes to fight against evil and unexpected dangers that threaten the world after Superman’s death. Uniting the superheros to fight together is not an easy task as each of them has its own character that clashes at times. Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Cyborg fight for the first time shoulder-to-shoulder to conquer Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons.
