The Baltics' largest deep tech industry event, "Deep Tech Atelier," has come to an end. The conference gathered 1443 participants from 40 countries, including large delegations from Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Germany, Lithuania, Israel, and Hungary. During two days, entrepreneurs, investors, and scientists discussed the prerequisites for the implementation of technologically intensive business ideas, as well as formed new teams for further cooperation.

During the conference, on five stages, the participants shared their experiences on how to commercialize technologically intensive business ideas, how to attract investments, communicate with society and find allies for the implementation of their ideas. This year's main focus was on the space industry, which is currently developing rapidly.

During the "Deep Tech Atelier," the European Space Agency Days were also held in Latvia for the second year, gathering representatives of this industry from many countries around the world. It is planned that in the near future, with the support of the European Space Agency, an industry incubator will be established in Latvia, where companies will be able to receive support for the implementation of their ideas.

In addition to exciting presentations by internationally renowned speakers, the conference also featured a large EXPO area where entrepreneurs and support organizations provided information and presented their products.

A special interest was shown in the startup presentation session, where the teams of these companies talked about their product to attract the attention of investors.

In total, 332 pre-announced business meetings were held at the conference, and the participants were most interested in artificial intelligence solutions.

As an additional added value to the conference this year, there was also a special event in cooperation with the Swedish and Finnish photonics and optics industry associations to promote cooperation with companies and research institutions in these countries.

During the conference, a mid-term event of the Norwegian Grant Business and Innovation Programme was also held, where project success stories were celebrated, a practical workshop on the industrial design was organized, and a discussion was held on the impact of innovation in achieving climate goals.

Deep Tech Atelier is a conference, a series of practical workshops and an industry matchmaking event that is now in its fifth year in Riga, attracting a wide range of participants from many countries around the world. Deep Tech Atelier is the largest event in the Baltics dedicated to the development of the science-intensive ecosystem and industry. Each year, the Deep Tech Atelier conference, in collaboration with the science commercialization platform Commercialisation Reactor and investors, creates around ten teams of scientists and entrepreneurs that turn into successful startups. For several years now, the Commercialisation Reactor has been one of the conference organisers' most trusted partners, building new teams to take science-intensive business ideas to market.

The conference is organised by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA).

Deep Tech Atelier events are implemented under the European Regional Development Fund projects "Innovation Motivation Programme" and "Support for the Improvement of the Technology Transfer System".
