State of the art electronic equipment testing centre opens in Riga

On the 14th of February the Latvian Electrical Engineering and Electronics Industry Association (LEtERA) announced the opening of The Latvian Electronic Equipment Testing Center (LEITC) in Riga. The purpose of the center is to promote innovation in the Electronics industry in Latvia as well as to develop academic research within Riga Technical University.

With total investments exceeding 1 million EUR, LEITC has become one of the most modern research centers in the Baltic region.

Aigars Štokenbergs, The Minister of Regional Development and Local-government, noted that “The establishment of this center will create the stimulus for the development of scientific research and the creation of new inventions, thus promoting the use of innovative solutions for high value-added product manufacturing. Skillful utilization of our scientific potential in manufacturing will promote the long-term development of the sector and consequently have a positive impact on the nation’s economy.”
