Swedish investors might be attracted to green technologies in LatviaRIGA, Jan 14, BNS - In the coming years, Swedish investors might be attracted to the green technologies sector in Latvia, said Austra Kreslina, Head of the Investment & Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) Representative Office in Sweden in an interview with BNS. "It is not the issue of the next year, it is about a perspective of 5-10 years. The green technologies is a field in which Sweden is rather developed, and development of this sector is in progress also in Latvia. It would be good to join such companies, for example, if a technology is developed in Sweden, Latvia might also develop such production. I see a possible synergy there -- knowledge and capacity of both countries put together, it is possible to develop something new and both may become strong in this sector, offering solutions to the rest of Europe and the world. It could be about use of solar energy, energy efficiency, etc.," said Kreslina. "It should be done, no matter what we are now saying about the green movement, climate changes are happening and this topicality will only increase," said the agency's representative.
