The New Dynamic in the Baltics

Over 400 participants from 35 countries gathered to catch the Baltic technology wave in Riga, Latvia last September. The 12th international conference, Baltic Dynamics 2007, recognizes Baltic technology achievements and fosters new partnerships to further develop their fast-growing and dynamic tech industry. The conference is regularly hosted by the Latvian Technology Center, and this year the program expanded its horizon by including an American business delegation. The Washington D.C. office of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) brought a team of over 20 tech CEOs and research, academic and business representatives from around the U.S.

Among the business and technology professionals, various government officials also offered their insights to the program: U.S. Ambassador Catherine Todd Bailey; Minister of Education and Science, prof. Baiba Rivza; Director General of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia, Andris Ozols and President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers.

The two-day conference boasted more than 85 speakers who shared their best and brightest ideas for technology development and cooperation in their respective countries.
