Toms Stūrītis, Senior Investment Advisor

My main responsibilities are to advise international investors on establishing business operations in Latvia.

I joined the Investment Promotion Division at LIAA in 2011. My previous professional experience includes preparing financial estimates in the construction industry as well as participating in and managing various national and international projects with the aim of providing solutions to a number of economic and social issues. Additionally, I have acquired broad experience in assisting start-up development serving as a deputy director for LIAA’s business incubator in the port city of Liepaja.

I hold a master’s degree in business administration from the Swiss Business School in Zurich, Switzerland, and a master in finance from BA School of Business and Finance in Riga, Latvia.

Rolando Huapaija-Delgado, Senior Investment Advisor

I am the lead advisor for investors working in Life Sciences, Healthcare and Green Technology sectors.

I have a bachelor’s degree in International Economics and Commercial Diplomacy as well as a MSc in International Relations from the University of Latvia. Currently I am studying for an MBA in Finance at Riga Business School.

Prior to joining the Investment Promotion Division, I was a Project manager in Enterprise Europe Network Latvia which is part of a European Commission Project operating in more than 60 countries, administered by LIAA in Latvia. My main role was to consult clients on various EU support programs, EU regulations and any questions related to starting a business in various countries.

Roberts Gudermanis, Senior Investment Advisor

I am the lead advisor to investors looking for suitable Latvian companies interested in M&A and joint venture opportunities and I provide support for investors in food processing, woodworking and textile industries.

My professional background includes work as a customer service specialist in "Swedbank". My previous experience was with LIAA’s Customer Service Division, in which I had the role of consulting clients on various State aid and EU Structural Funds programs as well as handling the questions about LIAA’s export services. I joined the Investment Promotion Division in early 2015.

I have a bachelor’s degree in International Sales and Marketing Management from VIA University College in Denmark.

Mārtiņš Kraujiņš, Senior Investment Advisor

I am the lead advisor for investors mainly working in Transportation and Logistics, but I have worked with clients in Metalworking and Woodworking sectors as well.

In addition to working at LIAA, I am also the owner and the CEO of a transportation and logistics SME which I established in 2013. I put my energy into my passion for cars and transportation while working as a team manager for a motosports team for a couple years.

I received a bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Business administration from BA School of Business and Finance in Riga, Latvia.

Monta Geidāne, Project Manager

I am the advisor for investors considering setting up operations in IT and Global Business Service (GBS) industries in Latvia.

After receiving a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the BA School of Business and Finance in Riga, Latvia, I was involved in the management of payroll accounting process for a multinational IT related shared services center. This work experience gave me extensive knowledge about the recruitment process, salary levels in IT and other employment related issues.

Additionally, I gained valuable experience in public relations while assisting international companies with advise and practical support organizing events, marketing campaigns and press conferences as well as preparing content for social media.

Artūrs Zlobins, Project Manager

I am the advisor for investors mainly working in the Metalworking sector.

Before joining the Investment Promotion Division at LIAA, I worked for the Housing and Environment Department of Riga City Council, where I gained extensive knowledge in legal background of municipal housing. Additionally, I have experience in accounting and project management in the marine industry.

I received bachelor’s degree in Law and Business from Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL), and I am currently working toward an MBA in Finance at Riga Business School.

Līga Pļaveniece, Senior Investment Project Manager

I support marketing operations of LIAA’s Investment Promotion Division and serve as a liaison and coordinator of LIAA activities with Latvia’s diaspora.

Prior to joining LIAA, I worked in the communications department of the Pew Research Center in Washington, D.C., U.S. In my capacity as a public relations specialist, I participated in strategic planning and worked with a variety of audiences, including U.S. and foreign government agencies, businesses, media, academic institutions and other types of non-government organizations. I also facilitated visits for foreign delegations participating in professional and research exchange programs organized through the U.S. Department of State.

Additionally, my experience includes volunteer leadership and marketing positions promoting the work of the United Nations through the United Nations Association of the USA and the US National Committee for UN Women.

I have a bachelor’s degree in communications and a minor in political science from the University of Northwestern, St. Paul, Minnesota, U.S.

Marta Ozola, Project Manager

I joined the Investment Promotion Division in 2017 to support marketing activities.

My Bachelor’s degree is in Business Logistics from Riga Technical University. During the studies, I participated in the European Union student exchange program Erasmus and spent one semester in Cyprus. In a few months, I will complete Master’s degree in International Business/Project Management at the Riga International School of Economics and Business Administration (RISEBA).

Most of my professional experience is in the Logistics sector working for a local freight forwarding company and a couple years for a Finnish-owned shipping company Containerships. Additionally, prior to moving into the logistics sector, I worked in administration for one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies GlaxoSmithKline.
