The Baltic Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka has been recognized as the most successful Latvian–Lithuanian cooperation project, receiving the Namejs Award 2025. Now in its fifteenth year, the award honors the most successful Latvian businesses in Lithuania, the best Latvian cooperation partners in Lithuania, and the most significant joint projects between the two countries in foreign markets.
Last year’s most notable Latvian–Lithuanian collaboration abroad, the Baltic Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, demonstrates how both nations—by combining resources and expertise—can achieve greater international visibility and deliver globally competitive results.
With the concept “We Are One,” the Baltic Pavilion represents the Baltic States as a unified region and invites visitors to reflect on their shared responsibility for the future of the planet. The project lays a strong foundation for continued cooperation between Latvia and Lithuania and enhances regional visibility in Japan.
Since the exhibition opened on April 13 of this year, the pavilion has welcomed over 800,000 visitors, who have experienced Latvian and Lithuanian culture, traditions, and technological innovations through curated content and various events. The pavilion has also gained international recognition, winning second place and a silver medal at the prestigious World Expolympics 2025 as one of the most popular national pavilions at Expo.
The Namejs Award serves as a key testament to the strong economic ties between Latvia and Lithuania, highlighting the power of collaboration and encouraging the development of new projects. Award recipients across different categories were recognized by Jurgis Miezainis, Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Economics of Latvia, and Aurelija Janušauskė, Head of the EU and International Affairs Department at the Lithuanian Ministry of the Economy and Innovation.
The competition is organized by the Latvian Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania, in cooperation with the Embassy of Latvia in Lithuania and the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
