Business.gov.lv piedāvā uzņēmējiem ērtāku piekļuvi valsts atbalstam un eksportam

The Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) continues to implement an ambitious digital transformation project, which will result in the creation of a unified business platform, Business.gov.lv. It will become the central gateway for entrepreneurs to interact with the state, providing a convenient, transparent, and digitally modern environment for both Latvian and foreign entrepreneurs.

"Business.gov.lv is an important step in expanding and improving the range of digital services provided by the state administration. Our goal is to ensure that entrepreneurs no longer have to spend time searching for information on different websites – everything will be available in one place, conveniently and digitally. This is an investment in the efficiency of public administration," emphasizes LIAA Director Ieva Jāgere.

Business.gov.lv has already gained a new, more user-friendly look and broader capabilities. Entrepreneurs have access to LIAA support services and the opportunity to apply for export and innovation-promoting activities – trade missions, official delegations, and national stands at international exhibitions.

Business.gov.lv provides an overview of the support programs and initiatives available to entrepreneurs. It includes support instruments administered by LIAA, the Development Finance Institution Altum, the Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFLA), and the Rural Support Service (LAD).

The platform has become a practical aid for anyone who wants to expand their business and develop cooperation abroad.

The portal is also planned to be supplemented with a set of public services for entrepreneurs provided by other institutions. The available services will be structured according to business life situations – from business establishment and development to exports and innovation. This approach will help entrepreneurs find solutions that meet their specific needs more quickly and reduce the bureaucratic burden.

Strategic national project

On May 9, 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the LIAA's application for the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) project, which is being implemented under Investment No. 2.1.2.1., in accordance with Cabinet Regulation No. 435 of July 14, 2022.

The project is part of Component 2, "Digital Transformation," of the European Union's Recovery and Resilience Facility plan, which provides for significant modernization of public administration and the creation of digital solutions that promote the business environment.

The LIAA's task is to create a unified business platform by May 31, 2026, based on the technological and conceptual solutions of Business.gov.lv. It will become a state information system, which means increased security and accessibility requirements.

Digital vision for 2030

The digital vision defined by the LIAA for 2030 envisages three strategic goals:

A unified digital gateway for entrepreneurs – a single point for searching and using all state and municipal services.

The ability to start, develop, and manage your business in Latvia entirely digitally.

Use of artificial intelligence for business development – personalized recommendations, automated solutions, and smart data analysis to support business growth.

After the implementation of the project, Business.gov.lv will become the central hub for entrepreneurs who want to receive state support and find development opportunities. It is a next-generation platform that is gradually creating a digital Latvia for business – convenient, open and smart.
