Continuing the drive for digital excellence and AI adoption, Google, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia, the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA), and Digital Journey, is proud to announce the latest season of the Izaugsme ar Google (Growth with Google) programme.
Since its launch in 2022, the programme has trained more than 30,000 participants in Latvia, with over 20,000 focusing specifically on Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills. Since 2024, the initiative has pivoted toward providing essential intro-level AI knowledge to ensure the benefits of this technology reach everyone. This year, the ambition grows even further with a goal to train 13,000 people across the country.
The programme’s sustained impact is evidenced by its recent momentum; in 2025 alone, more than 11,000 people were trained, with participants reporting significant gains in productivity. According to an impact survey, 66% reported saving time on routine tasks, 60% implemented AI tools to organize their daily work, and 51% achieved faster content creation. Furthermore, 49% utilized AI to generate new ideas for products and services, while 28% noted that these efficiencies allowed them to shift their focus toward higher-value strategic activities.
2026 Focus: Empowering Businesses and Students
This year, Izaugsme ar Google expands its reach even further. In addition to supporting Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs), a dedicated portion of the programme is now tailored for university students. This track provides the latest information on AI tools designed to facilitate and enhance the learning process.
The trainings are practical, built on real business use cases, and designed so that participants can start implementing AI solutions immediately upon completion.
Free and Accessible to All
The programme is entirely free of charge, featuring top-tier Google content delivered in Latvian by local expert trainers. To ensure that everyone from any part of Latvia can benefit, all training sessions are held online.
The first session is scheduled to take place on March 26, 2026.
