Last year Pāvels Razmajevs, Chief Operating Officer of Latvian deep tech company Eventech, took part in the Mini MBA programme “Innovation Management” organised by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) in collaboration with the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (SSE Riga). Eventech is a world-recognised developer of time tagging solutions whose technologies are being used on land and in space, including in NASA, ESA, JAXA-backed projects.
Pāvels explains that the study programme provided a lot of valuable practical knowledge – from financial and risk management to how to use artificial intelligence in business: “The course was well-balanced: theory went hand in hand with practical tools, which I am already using in my daily work.”
Pāvels also highlights how useful it was to get a chance to meet other entrepreneurs and gain new contacts, which remain active even after the end of the study programme. “The application process was simple, the course was useful, and I definitely recommend other entrepreneurs to also take advantage of this opportunity,” encourages Pāvēls Razmajevs.
Commanding over 70% of the market segment, Eventech is one of the world’s leading developers of satellite laser ranging solutions. The company develops and manufactures patented picosecond-precise time-to-digital converters which are also used in fine gravimetry, time transfer, optical communication and space research projects, including the European Space Agency’s HERA mission studying asteroids.
