More than 30 Latvian companies, industry organizations and public institutions are representing Latvia at Eurosatory 2026, one of the world’s most important defence and security technology exhibitions, which opens today, 15 June, in Paris. This marks the largest Latvian delegation in the history of the event.

Eurosatory 2026 brings together more than 2,100 companies from 65 countries and over 120,000 defence and security professionals, military representatives, government officials and international experts. The exhibition serves as one of the leading global platforms for defence, security and dual-use technologies.

According to Ieva Jāgere, Director of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA):

“Defence technologies are currently among the fastest-growing high-tech sectors worldwide. Latvian companies are already demonstrating their ability to develop innovative and internationally competitive solutions in fields where demand continues to grow across Europe and globally. Latvia’s strength lies in its ability to rapidly transform knowledge, research and innovation into high-value products. This close cooperation between business, science and government enables us to compete successfully in markets where technological excellence, innovation and agility are critical. Eurosatory provides an important platform for Latvian companies to showcase their competitiveness on a global scale, establish new partnerships and strengthen Latvia’s position within international technology and innovation value chains.”

At the exhibition, Latvian companies are presenting solutions in unmanned systems, military communications, artificial intelligence, robotics, ammunition, energy technologies, military medical readiness and training technologies, as well as critical infrastructure protection. Several technologies developed by Latvian companies are already being used to support Ukraine and strengthen NATO capabilities.

Elīna Egle, Chair of the Board of the Latvian Federation of Security and Defence Industries (FSDI Latvia), highlighted the growing importance of international cooperation:

“The European defence industry is experiencing its most rapid period of growth in decades. In this environment, cross-border partnerships become increasingly important, enabling faster scaling of production capacities, adaptation to technological developments and the creation of resilient and diversified supply chains. Latvian companies have already accumulated significant expertise, and now it is essential to expand international partnerships in response to growing demand across allied countries, European strategic autonomy priorities and NATO capability development plans. Eurosatory is one of the most important international platforms for establishing new business relationships, joining international supply chains and strengthening Latvia’s position as a reliable defence industry partner.”

Throughout the exhibition, the Latvian delegation will participate in business meetings, investor and partner discussions, and industry forums focused on strengthening European defence capabilities, artificial intelligence applications, drone technologies, autonomous systems and the future development of the defence sector.

Līga Ellere, Chair of the Board of Exonicus Europe, emphasized the role of advanced training technologies:

“Modern defence capabilities increasingly depend not only on equipment and technological platforms but also on human preparedness. Our XR-based medical simulation solutions are already being used for military medical training in NATO allied countries and Ukraine. Exonicus has developed one of the world’s leading specialized extended reality training solutions for military medicine, demonstrating that globally impactful technologies can be created in Latvia. Behind every technology we develop stands a single objective – helping people prepare for situations where lives may depend on their knowledge, skills and decisions. We are proud to be part of Latvia’s defence technology sector, whose companies continue to demonstrate growing competitiveness and the ability to deliver world-class innovation.”
