Last week, from October 29 to November 1, journalists from prominent Japanese business, tourism, and lifestyle media visited Latvia. The purpose of the visit was to present Latvia as a country where nature, traditions, and technology coexist in harmony, creating an inspiring image in both tourism and business collaboration contexts.
The media representatives explored Latvia’s digital and technological environment, as well as its rapidly growing startup ecosystem. Latvia was presented as a country with a strong digital infrastructure, openness to innovation, and a focus on unique technological solutions that successfully compete on a global scale. The journalists visited the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA), Startup House, StartSchool, Printful, SAF Tehnika, and Longenesis.
Guests also had the opportunity to experience Latvian cultural traditions and their modern interpretations, enjoy seasonal restaurant menus, and feel the harmonious, nature-oriented Latvian lifestyle, which particularly resonates with the Japanese interest in mindfulness and well-being.
