LIAA: Latvija uzrāda straujāko kāpumu digitālās konkurētspējas reitingā

In 2025, Latvia has climbed to 31st place among 69 world economies in the prestigious IMD World Digital Competitiveness Ranking, marking a significant breakthrough compared to previous years. For comparison: in 2023 Latvia ranked 40th, in 2024 – 38th, while this year’s result is the highest in the country’s history in this index.

“This ranking confirms Latvia’s dynamic progress in the field of digitalization, from the public sector to entrepreneurship. Our innovation environment is becoming increasingly open, and already more than 90% of public services are available digitally. These results also strengthen our reputation as an attractive investment destination in the digital era,” emphasizes LIAA Director Ieva Jāgere.

Particularly notable progress has been made in the ‘Technology Development’ category, where Latvia has risen from 38th place in 2024 to 21st, as well as in the ‘Future Readiness’ category, where the country’s score has improved to 23rd place.

This demonstrates the ability of Latvian businesses, institutions, and society as a whole to successfully adapt to the changes brought about by technological innovation.

Compared to other countries with a population of up to 20 million, Latvia ranks among the world’s top 20.
