From October 7 to 9, the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) participated in the Aviareps-organized Around the World series of tourism workshops held in three Polish cities – Katowice, Poznań, and Warsaw.
During the events, LIAA representatives presented Latvia’s tourism offerings, with a special focus on nature, cultural, and gastronomic experiences. Particular attention was given to the upcoming event programme for Liepāja – European Capital of Culture 2027.
The workshops provided an opportunity to establish new contacts with around 80 representatives from the Polish tourism industry and media. Ten of them expressed interest in joining potential familiarization trips to Latvia, indicating that they are either already promoting Latvia or planning to include it in their travel packages in the near future.
Polish tour operators confirmed a significant increase in demand for travel to Latvia over the past year. However, several challenges were highlighted – most notably the shortage of Polish-speaking guides, especially outside major cities, as well as limited availability of information in Polish at tourism sites and on the Latvia.travel portal.
