On 15 June, Paris will host the opening of Eurosatory 2026, one of the world’s most influential exhibitions for defence, security and dual-use technologies. This year, Latvia will be represented by 36 defence and security technology companies, industry organisations and public institutions, forming the largest Latvian presence in the history of Eurosatory and demonstrating the growing international competitiveness of Latvia’s defence technology sector.
Latvia’s national presence at Eurosatory 2026 is jointly organised by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) and the Federation of Security and Defence Industries of Latvia (FSDI Latvia).
Since 1967, Eurosatory has been one of the world’s most important platforms for the defence and security industry. This year’s exhibition takes place at a time when European Union and NATO member states are significantly increasing investments in defence capabilities, industrial capacity and emerging technologies. New supply chains, industrial partnerships and innovation ecosystems are currently taking shape and will play a defining role in the development of Europe’s defence industry over the coming decade.
The exhibition covers land, air, maritime, space, cybersecurity and crisis management technologies. More than 100 high-level conferences, panels and expert discussions are scheduled throughout the event, while exhibitors will present over 500 new products and technological solutions. Key themes this year include artificial intelligence, drone and counter-drone technologies, autonomous systems, military mobility, critical infrastructure protection, cybersecurity and strengthening Europe’s defence industrial capabilities.
This year, Latvia will participate with its largest-ever delegation of defence and security technology companies. At the Latvian national pavilion and individual exhibition stands, companies and organisations will showcase solutions across rapidly growing dual-use technology sectors, ranging from unmanned systems, artificial intelligence and military communications to ammunition production, robotics, energy solutions and critical infrastructure protection.
According to Elīna Egle, Chair of the Board of the Federation of Security and Defence Industries of Latvia (FSDI Latvia):
“Since 2018, we have been part of Eurosatory, one of Europe’s most important defence and security exhibitions. Our continued participation reflects the contribution of Latvian companies to Europe’s strategic autonomy. Together with industry and research organisations, FSDI Latvia actively supports the implementation of European Union defence capability priorities.
The focus of the Latvian pavilion is the soldier. Our mission is to enhance the performance and operational effectiveness of military personnel and security services by providing them with the equipment, technologies and support they need. This year, Latvian companies will showcase individual equipment solutions, a wide range of drone systems and other technologies designed to provide operational advantages and enable mission success.
At the same time, Eurosatory offers a unique opportunity to strengthen cooperation with international partners, armed forces representatives and members of our international network. It enables the development of new partnerships, joint projects and international growth opportunities for Latvia’s defence industry.”
Latvian companies are becoming increasingly integrated into NATO and European defence industry supply chains. Technologies developed by Latvian companies are already contributing to Ukraine’s resilience and strengthening NATO capabilities, demonstrating Latvia’s expertise in rapidly growing defence and security technology sectors.
Participation in Eurosatory represents far more than attendance at an exhibition. For Latvian companies, it is an opportunity to secure new export contracts, attract investment, establish long-term international partnerships and expand their presence in one of Europe’s fastest-growing technology markets. As investments in defence and security continue to increase, Latvian companies have significant opportunities to scale production, create highly skilled jobs and strengthen the competitiveness of Latvia’s economy.
According to Ieva Jāgere, Director of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA):
“Defence technologies are among the fastest-growing high-tech sectors in Europe, and new technological and industrial cooperation networks are being formed right now that will shape the industry for the next decade. The presence of Latvian companies at Eurosatory 2026 demonstrates their ability to compete internationally and become trusted partners within Europe’s defence and security technology ecosystem. Growing interest in Latvian expertise confirms that our companies are capable of delivering solutions that are increasingly sought after by both European and NATO markets. Eurosatory is where these opportunities are transformed into concrete partnerships, export agreements and investment projects.”
The opening day of Eurosatory 2026 will feature the exhibition’s official opening ceremony as well as the inauguration of the Latvian national pavilion. The exhibition programme will also include a joint Baltic networking event, bringing together companies, public institutions and international partners to strengthen the international visibility of the Baltic defence industry and foster new cooperation initiatives.
This year’s Eurosatory agenda places particular emphasis on artificial intelligence, drone and counter-drone technologies, autonomous systems, military mobility, cybersecurity, critical infrastructure protection and the expansion of defence industrial production capacity. Discussions will also focus on lessons learned from the war in Ukraine, resilience of Europe’s defence industry, NATO capability development and future battlefield technologies.
According to Raivis Melnis, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Latvia:
“This is the largest Latvian pavilion ever presented at Eurosatory, clearly demonstrating the growth, innovation potential and international competitiveness of our defence industry. Latvian companies deliver high-value solutions that are increasingly important in today’s security environment. In doing so, we not only strengthen Latvia’s economy and export capacity but also make a meaningful contribution to European and NATO collective security.”
Latvian companies participating in Eurosatory will present both battle-tested solutions and next-generation technologies developed for NATO and European Union requirements. The delegation represents expertise in unmanned systems, ammunition, robotics, military communications, artificial intelligence, critical infrastructure protection, military medicine, autonomous platforms, energy technologies and other defence and security sectors.
