The Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) is hosting "Discover Vidzeme" from May 6–8, 2026. This three-day event is designed to showcase the diverse tourism potential of the Vidzeme region, fostering new partnerships and encouraging longer stays for international travelers in Northern Latvia.

- Networking: Facilitate direct B2B connections between international tourism organizers and local service providers.
- Product Development: Encourage the inclusion of Vidzeme in high-quality, multi-day travel itineraries.
Program Highlights
Day 1: Networking & Strategy (May 6)
The event kicks off in the historic town of Cēsis.
- Region Presentation: An insightful overview of Vidzeme’s tourism clusters and upcoming trends.
- 1:1 Workshop: A dedicated B2B session for personalized meetings with regional tourism representatives (hotels, museums, activity providers).
- Networking Dinner: An evening of informal discussions and local flavors to build lasting professional relationships.
Days 2 & 3: Familiarization Visits (May 7–8)
Participants will explore the region through one of three specialized thematic routes:
- Manors & Gourmet: A journey through elegant estates and refined culinary experiences.
- Discover the "Bānītis" Heritage: A nostalgic trip centered around the historic Gulbene-Alūksne narrow-gauge railway, blending landscapes with local traditions.
- Coastal Harvest: Exploring the riches of the Vidzeme seaside, focusing on local production and maritime charm.

Vidzeme is a region of contrasts, offering everything from the Gauja National Park's pristine nature to the rich cultural heritage of Hanseatic towns. The event is implemented as part of the "Tourism Product Development Program," co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the European Union.
