The Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) is heading to Kazakhstan from May 25–27, 2026, for a high-level trade mission. Accompanying the Minister of Agriculture, Armands Krauze, a delegation of Latvian industry leaders will visit Astana, Rodina, and Karaganda to strengthen bilateral trade and establish new export partnerships.
The mission is strategically designed to showcase Latvian expertise in agriculture, logistics, aviation, IT, and finance, providing a platform for direct engagement with Kazakh government officials, industry associations, and key market players.
Mission Itinerary (Provisional)
- May 25: Astana | Business Forum & Networking
- Latvia-Kazakhstan Business Forum: A major networking event bringing together a wide range of entrepreneurs focusing on agriculture, IT, finance, and logistics.
- B2B Sessions: Targeted individual meetings with local companies and industry associations.
- May 26: Rodina | Agricultural Excellence
- Regional Business Forum: Strategic discussions focused on regional development.
- Site Visits: Tours of leading regional agricultural enterprises, including "Rodina Agrofirm," advanced dairy processing complexes, and grain production facilities.
- May 27: Karaganda | Logistics and Direct Connectivity
- Aviation Logistics: Meetings with the management of Karaganda Airport and a tour of the cargo complex to discuss the Karaganda–Riga direct cargo route.
- Industrial Visits: On-site visit to the agricultural producer "Eurasia Invest Ltd."
- Commemoration: A visit to the Spassk Memorial to honor Latvian victims of deportation.
This trade mission is organized within the framework of the SME Innovative Business Development Program, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Latvian state budget.
