From 22 to 25 April 2026, the Minister of Economics of Latvia, Viktors Valainis, will lead an official working visit to Poland and Ukraine, including stops in Warsaw and Kyiv. The visit will feature Latvia–Poland and Latvia–Ukraine Business Forums, along with high-level meetings and bilateral discussions.
The primary objective of the visit is to strengthen economic cooperation between Latvia and its Polish and Ukrainian partners. The program focuses on expanding collaboration in energy, dual-use technologies, ICT, fintech, innovation, defense and security, construction, transport and logistics, as well as the food sector.
The delegation will include representatives of Latvian companies and institutions operating in these sectors. In Poland, participating companies will mainly represent energy, dual-use manufacturing, security and defense, ICT, construction, transport and logistics, and food production. In Ukraine, the focus will be on energy, dual-use technologies, security and defense, ICT, construction, and startups.
During the visit, Latvian businesses will take part in business forums, sector-focused roundtables, and B2B meetings with local companies and institutional partners. An intergovernmental commission meeting is also scheduled in Kyiv, providing an additional platform for strengthening bilateral cooperation at the governmental level.

The working language of the visit and all official events will be English.
Participation in trade missions organized by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia is supported through a European Union co-financed SME innovation development programme, with co-funding from the European Regional Development Fund and the Latvian state.
This visit represents an important step in reinforcing Latvia’s economic presence in Poland and Ukraine and in fostering long-term, strategically significant partnerships across key growth sectors.
