Digitālās veselības pakalpojumu nozares uzņēmumu tirdzniecības misija uz Nīderlandi

Innovative Latvian digital health companies are invited to take part in a trade mission to Groningen, Netherlands on 27 March, aimed at strengthening international cooperation and export potential.

The mission will provide Latvian digital health businesses with direct insight into the innovation ecosystem of the Northern Netherlands, opportunities to connect with regional partners, and a platform to position their solutions in an international market. The visit will take place together with Latvia’s Minister for Health, Hosams Abu Meri, and will conclude with the opening of the Latvian Honorary Consulate in Groningen, led by Honorary Consul Ervīns Dirks.

Northern Netherlands, and Groningen in particular, is a prominent science and research hub with a strong health innovation environment. The region is advancing the AI Gigafactory Groningen initiative and hosts a dynamic health industry ecosystem centred around the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG).

Key Partners and Ecosystem Stakeholders

During the mission, participants will engage with leading organisations within the regional innovation ecosystem, including:

  • University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG), including flagship initiatives such as Lifelines, AHON, Healthy Ageing Campus and the Data Science Center in Health (DASH)
  • University of Groningen, including a visit to the Zernike Campus
  • Healthy Ageing Network Northern Netherlands (HANNN)

Programme Highlights (27 March)

  • Morning flight to Amsterdam and transfer to Groningen
  • Working lunch with UMCG leadership and innovation teams
  • Presentations on university research and flagship health projects
  • Meetings with local medical and digital health companies
  • Opening of the Latvian Honorary Consulate and networking with partners

The trade mission is organised by the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA) as part of an innovation support programme co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Latvian state budget, aimed at strengthening the international competitiveness and export capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
