A delegation of competitive Latvian companies from the smart mobility sector – particularly in drones, unmanned aerial systems (UAS), AI, digital solutions and space technologies – will take part in a trade mission to Korea from 25–27 February 2026.
The mission aims to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation between Latvia and Korea in smart mobility, and to explore new business partnerships and opportunities in the Korean market.
Latvian companies will:
- Present innovative drone and unmanned aviation solutions
- Showcase AI-based and digital platforms for smart mobility and smart city applications
- Explore cooperation in space-related technologies and data-based services
- Look for partners in R&D, technology transfer and joint product development
The programme will include meetings with leading Korean companies and industry associations, as well as participation in Drone Show Korea – conference and exhibition at the BEXCO Exhibition Center in Busan.
Key conference themes include:
- The convergence of advanced technologies and the drone industry – 5G-based communication, AI-powered autonomous flight, and applications in defense, logistics and smart cities
- Creating real business opportunities at the heart of the industry ecosystem – connecting government, public institutions, defense and security agencies, research organisations, startups and global companies
- Korea’s first and largest drone-focused conference – a networking platform for government, military, industry, academia and research to discuss policies, technologies and market trends
- Real-world applications and future outlook – use of drones in defense and security, disaster response, logistics and smart farming
The visit will also feature a smart mobility networking event in Seoul on 27 February 2026, offering additional opportunities to connect with the Latvian business delegation.

The trade mission is organised by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) and is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the state budget of the Republic of Latvia under the SME Innovative Entrepreneurship Development Programme and the “Support for Improvement of the Technology Transfer System” project.
