Circular economy, sustainability, and the EU Green Deal are not just abstract terms anymore, but important factors in improving the competitive advantage of companies and other relevant stakeholders in the world today. Why should companies adopt circular economy practices and how can they increase their chances of entering new export markets? Can the packaging sector implement circularity and still be profitable?

Since 2020, the EU has been striving to implement a new circular economy action plan to reach the ambitious goal of climate neutrality by 2050. Product packaging, in fact, has been recognized as one of the main areas that could help fulfil these objectives and that, for many companies, could be the first step towards a greener and more sustainable business.

The implementation of circular economy practices, without a doubt, may be challenging, but it also brings a great deal of opportunities. Consumers have become much more eco-conscious and, some would say, demanding, and companies need to find ways how to meet these expectations to remain competitive.

There are organizations, both in Latvia and the Netherlands, that are already actively working in this field to promote circular solutions and that serve as an example to many other businesses that aspire to become more sustainable.

Therefore, we invite you to a webinar dedicated to discussing the current trends in the field of circular packaging in Europe, Latvia, and the Netherlands. We will also share practical advice on adopting circular economy principles for greater competitiveness and new collaboration opportunities.

Webinar topics:

  • Towards Circular Packaging in the EU: Taxes, Rules and Best Practices;
  • Sorting and recycling of plastic packaging waste in Latvia;
  • Circularity and packaging in the Netherlands;
  • Case studies from Latvia (PrintOnPack) and the Netherlands (A Top Packaging)

Target audience

The webinar is open to everyone interested in the topic of circular economy, however, it will be especially useful for exporting companies and those businesses, organizations, and research institutions that deal with the question of sustainable production and circular solutions on a regular basis.
